Total Recall (1990) was the first ultra-violent, rollercoaster movie I ever saw. I have to admit, it turned me on. Arnold Schwarzenegger was a larger than life hero (even though his character was an ordinary construction worker). Was he an innocent man on virtual vacation or was he a superspy chased by nefarious agencies?
The remake “Total Recall” with Colin Farrell, with cluttered and gloomy special effects, opens August 3rd. Look at both trailers. Which movie would you rather see in an instant?
Never seen the 1990 version? See it first. Even if it mean putting the remake off an extra weekend.
